Physical Education

The aim of the Physical Education Program is to enable students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. Attendance and participation are mandatory for success in Physical Education.

Physical Education 10 (Co-ed, all girls, individual pursuits)

3 Credits

The Physical Education 10 program offers a wide assortment of activities across a variety of environments. This program aims to develop skills, understanding of health benefits, cooperation and an active lifestyle. 

Physical Education 20 (Co-ed)

Prerequisite: Teacher Recommendation must be on report card prior to being registered in this course.

5 Credits

P.E. 20 students are expected to show continuing development of skills and knowledge of individual, dual and team sports. Leadership skills are encouraged, as well as a positive attitude, sportsmanship and active participation in all aspects of the course are required. 

Various activities are presented to facilitate a continuation of the P.E. 10 program and to prepare for the requirements of the P.E. 30 program. A fee will be charged to cover the cost of using off-campus facilities.

Physical Education 30 (Co-ed)

Prerequisite: Teacher Recommendation must be on report card prior to being registered in this course.

5 Credits

P.E. 30 is a continuation of P.E. 20 with an increased focus on leadership. Students will continue to develop their skills and knowledge of a multitude of activities. 

A fee will be charged to cover the cost of using off-campus facilities.
